Syntegon flow wrap

Syntegon has launched its Pack 103 entry-level flow wrapping machine designed to offer efficiency and ease of use to small and medium-sized businesses, with an output of up to 175 packs per minute.

The Pack 103 is said to be capable of handling a wide range of products and pack formats, with a 100mm cutting head option and small parts chute accommodating items as small as 25mm length. Its format range spans from 25mm to 457mm length, 12mm to 25mm width, and 6mm to 110mm height.

Syntegon says the Pack 103 is suited for various food, non-food, and medical products. It also has a touchscreen interface aiming to allow operators to easily adjust settings and fast format changes to allow businesses to adapt to changing production demands.

Kimberly Kocer, product manager at Syntegon, commented: “This machine embodies our commitment to providing cost-effective, highly durable flow wrapping solutions. Whether you’re a Mom & Pop shop or a growing enterprise, the Pack 103 is an ideal companion on your journey to automation.”

The company recently announced it will be presenting a new handling solution for cookie packaging, the Syntegon FGCT count feeder, at the iba trade fair in Düsseldorf, taking place from May 18th-22nd 2025. The feeder reportedly has gentle handling, is carefully balanced at high speed, guarantees an efficient packaging process and avoids product damage.

AM Labels introduced an automatic packet feeding system last month, designed to reduce manual handling requirements and ensure a more efficient labelling process for use in food, pharmaceutical and consumer goods industries. The packet feeder has a large hopper infeed and a variable speed control of up to 30 metres per minute, enabling handling of a range of packet sizes and thicknesses.
