Please note that we use our discretion to decide what/what not to publish. Our focus is on content that we think will inform and engage our readers – this means stories regarding innovation, sustainability and the developments and demands that drive the packaging industry forward.
Beyond news articles and comment pieces, we also have a range of promoted products that can help you to extend your reach – take a look at our media pack for more information on this.
When making a submission, please include at least one high-resolution image that is related to the story, in the following dimensions: 1080px (wide) x 810px (high).
Important note: we do not knowingly accept or publish articles that have been written using Artificial Intelligence. All content submissions to Packaging Europe must be written by a human.
To make a submission, get in touch with us at editor@packagingeurope.com. We look forward to hearing from you!

If you send us a press release and we think our readers would be interested in it, we will write it up into a news article before sharing on our website and social channels. We will always send you a link if we publish an article that is based on a press release you have sent us.

Either send us a finished opinion piece or a synopsis of one and we will consider it for publication. Please note: these should not be at all promotional in tone, and should not focus on a product/service offered by your company.

If you have ideas for interesting, thought-leadership focussed interviews or interviewees, please send them to us for consideration.

First things first – check our news items on new packaging products to see the level of detail that we require. Here’s a checklist of things to consider including in press releases you send to us:

A clear, objective explanation of exactly what your product is and what it does

Two quotes from senior experts who have worked on the product

Insights into R&D challenges

Explain what problem the product aims to solve

Why should our readers be interested? How is it new and innovative?

Outline the most important technical or functional details

Short boilerplate on your company at the end that we can use for context if needed

Wordcount: roughly 400 words
No. Our focus is on publishing truly engaging and relevant content – as opposed to creating stories based on pre-set dates and themes.
We encourage submissions on all-packaging related topics and judge them on their merits, rather than making them fit into arbitrary topics/dates.
This allows us to be agile with what we publish, and gives you more scope to send us genuinely interesting content that aligns with your area of expertise and allows you to be creative.
We review every submission based on relevance and value to our audience. If your content meets this criteria, it stands a good chance of being covered by Packaging Europe – regardless of topic or timings.
That being said, we do welcome content around major industry events or key regulatory updates.
