Korozo Group, Drylock Technologies, and Colruyt have jointly developed a recyclable, nonwoven packaging solution for diaper products, aiming for a tactile experience that reflects the product’s softness.

Reportedly, the packaging’s nonwoven material is both soft and durable. It is designed to reflect the appearance and soft texture of the product itself, and to stand out on the shelf.

The packaging is currently packaging Drylock’s diaper products and sold at Colruyt stores. Consumers have apparently responded positively to the new packaging, praising its aesthetic appeal, functionality, and sustainability credentials.

“We see this as the start of a bold new era for packaging, one where packs are an active part of the consumer experience, not just a passive vessel for a product,” said Korozo Group CMGO Selin Bahar Meşulam. “I want to thank our friends at Drylock for helping us redefine what packaging can communicate with this exciting new concept.

“Our mission to Deliver Sustainability, Pack by Pack means we’re always looking to explore new ideas and develop value-adding innovations for customers and consumers. And this is just the latest step in our journey of sustainable innovation as we continue to deliver forward-thinking solutions for our partners around the world.”

The nonwoven material will join other leading flexible packaging solutions at Korozo’s booth (Hall 1, Stand 1650) at the INDEX Exhibition in Geneva, taking place from 19-22 May 2026. Visitors are encouraged to visit the stand during the event, or to contact Korozo’s team directly to arrange a meeting.

All the way back in 2020, Drylock worked alongside Mondi to introduce a paper-based, recyclable bag for diapers. Using Mondi’s EcoWicketBag, Drylock sought to reduce its CO2 footprint and utilize renewable resources without impacting product protection or shelf appeal.

Since then, Freudenberg Performance Materials has introduced its customizable fine denier spunbond nonwoven materials for use in lightweight desiccant bags, coating substrates, and more. The materials are available as bicomponent or mono-fibres.

A biodegradation formula from RAWS Americas, previously nominated for a Sustainability Award, has also been tested by a leading diaper manufacturer in non-woven polypropylene applications.
