The company’s HomeBox 4 router has won a Green Product Award. We take a look at the role the packaging played to boost the product’s sustainability credentials and user friendliness.

The pack, made from FSC-certified cartonboard, is set up as a ready-to-ship solution, and reportedly increases container utilization by up to 33%. The HomeBox 4 router is designed as a compact all-in-one solution with an eye on simplifying the user experience. Braille is integrated on the seal, enhancing accessibility.

Integrated QR codes and soy ink printed installation instructions on the package make additional inserts unnecessary.

Since 2013, the international Green Product Award and the Green Concept Award have been setting out to recognize outstanding sustainable products, services, and forward-looking concepts.

Earlier this year, an article from McKinsey considered how consumer goods companies can design their packaging to appeal to consumer desires, provide a positive unboxing experience, and facilitate minimal but easy returns – and how high-ranking executives can unite packaging teams across their organizations.
