Mespack, the company for flexible packaging solutions of the Duravant Group will, from the 8 to 11 of May, attend Hispack 2018, the international packaging and logistics fair, with two new important innovations in their portfolio.
The first is a new laser cutting system developed with MACSA ID, manufacturer of laser coders. “This innovation, presented at Interpack 2017, has been considerably improved in collaboration with MACSA ID, and we can now offer an optimised version whose main advantage is the considerable saving that it provides, as it allows cutting and coding in just one single point”, explains Santi Alberich, Marketing Director at Mespack. Currently, the company is working so that this cutting system can also pre-cut the film to ensure easy opening.
“Until now, for these operations we needed different equipment. With the new solution, however, we only need one, which has fewer components and requires much less maintenance time. Furthermore, our customers will also save time when changing formats, above all those who make different shapes, as there will no longer be any need for matrices and only the sealers should be changed. And those that make packets with round edges or shapes, will also save on film, as there will be no need to leave the 2-3mm margin that cutting matrices require”, says the head of marketing of the company. The laser cutting system can be seen in the H180 FE machine that Mespack will present at its stand at Hispack.
Important innovations Mespack will also exhibit at the fair the latest incorporation to its portfolio. This is the first wrap around machine for flexible packages from the company that offers a complete packaging line to its customers, as it covers from the primary packaging, thanks to their HFFS and HFS product range (forming part of the roll or filling ready-made packages with flexible packaging), to the secondary packaging that makes this new wrap around possible. “With this solution we can cover until the palletization process”, adds Alberich.
Made available a few months ago, the new WA series from Mespack guarantees the maximum production results minimising the necessary time for each change of format. “The format settings in the WA series are made easily, quickly, reliably and precisely”, highlights the Marketing Director of the company. Ideal for covering production of up to 45 boxes per minute, it is equipped with multiple sensors to function correctly. “It is a modern, flexible and robust machine”, concludes Alberich.
Mespack can also provide solutions for secondary rigid packaging for the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and home care industries, among others. The Duravant Group company has recently increased its catalogue of wrap around equipment and has wrap around machines, boxing machines, as well as palletisers suitable for working with this type of packaging.
Mespack will exhibit its equipment at the Sermatec stand (Pavillion 3, Level 0, D-462 of Fira de Barcelona's Gran Via venue), its representative in Spain for primary and secondary packaging equipment.
