At interpack 2026, Securikett launched a new range of security tapes made from recycled materials.
The new portfolio of tapes comes in various widths while featuring a prominent tamper-evident effect when removed. The company reports that the new tapes can reliably trigger when a pack has been tampered with even when multiple layers of security tape are applied on top of each other.
A key feature is the adhesive-free zone on the centre of the tape, which prevents premature activation of the “void” effect caused by vibration during transport or impacts such as parcel drops, in a bid to maintain functionality until intentional opening.
Werner Horn, CEO of Securikett, comments: “Our new security tapes made from recycled materials represent another important step toward sustainable packaging solutions, complementing our proven paper-based tapes.
“For customers who cannot or prefer not to switch to paper, they provide an ecological alternative that enables both secure and more sustainable packaging.”
