Teeth whitening brand Opalescence has introduced pre-filled Opalescence Go Advanced whitening trays, said to remove the need for an outer placement tray and reduce packaging waste.
The company states that each patented UltraFit tray is pre-filled with whitening gel to ensure consistent distribution and precise placement during treatment, with a one-step application process. The trays are available in 15% hydrogen peroxide concentration with a Cool Mint flavour.
Opalescence adds that the trays are ‘clinically proven’ to whiten teeth by up to 5 shades and Opalescence Go Advanced whitening has been designed by dentists to be gentle on teeth.

In related news, last year West Pharmaceutical Services (West) unveiled its West Synchrony Prefillable Syringe (PFS) System at CPHI Worldwide in Frankfurt, Germany, offering a ‘fully verified’ platform from a single supplier. The system has a single design verification and characterization package which ensures the form, fit and function of the entire PFS system.
The same month, Ypsomed revealed its pre-filled autoinjector designed for automated disassembly, streamlined recycling, and an 87% reduction in material-related CO2 emissions compared to conventional alternatives. It comprises two mono-material, bio-based subassemblies, one for the syringe unit and another for the drive unit, set to simplify the industrial separation, recovery and recirculation of materials.
