We hear from Korozo Group about their PPWR-ready portfolio of recyclable films with up to 70% of PCR content in the latest edition of the Spotlight.

korozoSustainable Packaging Solutions

Big things are happening in flexible packaging. Old compromises are being dismantled, one innovation at a time. Think recyclable mono-material structures that perform as well as the laminates they replace, skin films that reduce material use while extending shelf life, or pouches that work as hard for waste reduction as they do for branding.

The industry has been talking about this future for years. At interpack 2026, Korozo Group is bringing it to life.

Exhibiting in Hall 9 on Stand F32 from 7-13 May in Düsseldorf, Korozo invites brands, packers, retailers, and packaging professionals to come and see what future-ready flexible packaging looks like in practice.

Beyond recyclable to truly circular

The industry’s direction of travel is clear, with the EU’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) reshaping market demands and brands that aren’t already thinking about recyclable structures, PCR content, and circular supply chains, are already behind.

korozoSkin Films

Korozo has been working ahead of this curve for years. Its proprietary KoroRCY laminated film technology makes true monomaterial, high-barrier flexible packaging a commercial reality, across flow packs, lidding films, thermoforming, and stand-up pouches. Polyolefin-based KoroRCY delivers the barrier performance that brands depend on, protecting product integrity, extending shelf life, and maintaining optical clarity, all within a fully recyclable structure. No trade-offs and no excuses.

On PCR content, Korozo is already ahead of the PPWR’s 2030 target of 35% for recyclable films, with some home and personal care applications already achieving up to 70% PCR content.

Less material, more performance

Vacuum skin packaging is one of the fastest-growing formats in fresh food retail, and KoroSkin is Korozo’s answer to this need. Available in three formats (LD, STD, and HP), KoroSkin films span everything from sliced meats and fish to block cheese, bone-in cuts, and ready meals.

The numbers tell their own story. Low gauge construction delivers a material saving of up to 20%, cutting transport emissions without compromising pack integrity. Leak-proof sealing reduces food loss, while superior optical clarity makes product presentation a selling point in its own right. This is what it looks like when sustainability and commercial performance move in the same direction.

Pouches built for where the market is going

The stand-up pouch has become the format of the moment, and Korozo’s offering spans the full range of what it can be. From premium consumer categories like confectionery, coffee, and personal care, to demanding non-food applications including detergents, automotive fluids, and industrial chemicals, Korozo’s pouches are engineered in-house and printed to the highest flexographic and rotogravure standards.

The range covers every format the market demands: stand-up and retort pouches for shelf impact and extended shelf life, recyclable flat bottom pouches with high barrier performance and full compatibility with PE collection and recycling systems, side gusseted quadro-pouches for bulkier products, and spouted pouches.

Whatever the product, whatever the application, there’s a Korozo pouch designed for it.

Come and see for yourself.

“interpack is the Davos of the packaging world. It’s where the industry comes to understand where it’s heading,” says Selin Bahar Meşulam, Chief Marketing and Growth Officer at Korozo Group. “We’re not coming to Düsseldorf to talk about what might be possible; we’re coming to show what’s already real. Sustainable packaging that performs, circular solutions that are commercially viable, and a partner that is genuinely invested in helping brands, packers and retailers get ahead of what comes next. Stand F32 is where that conversation starts.”

Korozo Group will be exhibiting at interpack 2026, Hall 9, Stand F32, 7–13 May, Düsseldorf.
