Securikett PaperVOID boxes

Securikett has unveiled its ‘highly translucent’ paper-based security seals, available with a fibre tear effect or VOID technology and designed to deliver effective product protection without compromising packaging aesthetics.

The new addition expands the company’s IT’S PAPER series beyond its previous paper-based security labels, which were limited to opaque and semi-translucent variants. The seals can be applied to folding cartons made of paper or cardboard while ensuring that underlying text and design elements remain clearly visible.

Securikett says this allows brand owners to integrate tamper-evident features without redesigning existing packaging. The labels are suitable for a range of industries including pharmaceuticals, where secure sealing and regulatory compliance are critical. They also aim to offer a sustainable alternative to conventional plastic closure seals in various other applications.

The company recently revealed a new technology designed to replace conventional heat sealing for trays with a secure labelling solution, said to be ‘safer, faster, and more cost-efficient’ than traditional heat-sealing processes. The tamper-evident seal immediately indicates if a package has been opened or tampered with through an integrated VOID effect.

Earlier this year Husky Technologies announced its tamper-evident, mono-PET bottle and closure technology, targeting higher recyclate yield and product security for the Middle East and Africa region. Husky’s HyCAP SecuRE+ technology aims to provide a mono-PET solution that simplifies recyclability and improves rPET yield.
