ROCOL Scrubs

Industrial products manufacturer ROCOL has refreshed the packaging for its SCRUBS cleaning products with a new ‘bold blue’ colour and a bucket made from 30% recycled plastic.

The company says the SCRUBS wipes and liquid remain unchanged, retaining their ‘watertightness, practicality, sturdiness and ease of transport’ qualities. Apparently, SCRUBS wipes can be used for the heavy-duty cleaning of hands, tools and machine parts, as well as removing grease, oil, adhesives, tar, ink and paint, without the need for water.

The refreshed bucket is a new ‘bold blue’ colour with a dual-textured design and an abrasive side that removes tough deposits without damaging surfaces. ROCOL says this makes it particularly suitable for those working in the construction, automotive and manufacturing industries.

ROCOL states this also aligns with parent company ITW Fluids’ broader portfolio, aiming for greater brand visibility and impact. The updated label design seeks to provide a high-impact, modern aesthetic.

Dr Lisa Marholt, product manager in Germany at ITW Industrial Solutions, said: “The new packaging marks an important step in SCRUBS’ commitment to the environment, which the brand will continue to pursue. A go-to product for professionals working in a wide range of industries, it was important to keep the ultra-effective wipes the same, whilst bringing the packaging a modern refresh in line with our values.”

Last summer we reported on ITW transitioning its SCRUBS-IN-A-BUCKET wet wipe range into recyclable plastic packaging in a bid to avoid single-use plastic taxes. The wipes were said to be NSF E4 certified for use in the food and drink industry and on machines in the immediate vicinity of food production lines.

In related news, Australian-based brand Conserving Beauty recently revealed it would be utilizing Futamura’s renewable and compostable NatureFlex films for its cleansing wipes packaging. Futamura says the films provide an ‘excellent barrier’ to aroma, gas, and moisture, with the new laminate structure running well on the sachet lines and the moisture barrier protecting the product until use.
