Ravenwood 17.06.25

Ravenwood Packaging has unveiled its Nobac 40B Bottle Labeller, described as a ‘entry-level’ airless, linerless applicator for labels up to 200mm long and 40mm wide on a variety of bottle sizes.

Combining the Nobac 40 label head and an extended transfer unit, the machine apparently delivers speeds of up to 75 bottles per minute, aiming to provide efficiency for producers without compromising on environmental goals.

The launch seeks to introduce Ravenwood’s linerless labelling to a broader spectrum of packaging formats, particularly in the beverages, personal care, and household sectors.

The company says the new system has an increased label yield with up to 40% more labels per roll, resulting in fewer reel changes, less downtime and increased productivity. The labeller is also said to reduce waste, require less storage space and have double the surface area for branding, compliance, and promotional messaging.

Ravenwood adds that all its approved materials are materials are FSC and PEFC certified, supporting responsible forestry and reducing carbon footprint.

In similar news, Domino introduced its new Mx350i-eP electric pallet labeller in January, designed for improved efficiency and said to require up to 40% less energy and up to 50% less factory air than previous generation pallet labellers. Features include an applicator arm designed to reduce pinch points and with built-in collision detection functionality to automatically stop and safely move away in the event of a collision or failure.

A few months later, Benner MSA and HERMA announced a compact machine that bundles bags into 20 to 30 medium-sized multipacks per minute and seals them with labels, designed to help customers save on costs, labour, and packaging materials. Designed for a standard bag measurement of around 65mm W x 150mm L by 25mm H as standard, the machine is also compatible with wider packs due to its patented compensating element for processing and offsetting irregularly shaped bags.
