Sidel will showcase its solutions for cans, glasses, pouches, and other packaging types in the beverage, food, home, and personal care sectors at Pack Expo 2023 – displaying palletising systems, a new software suite, and complete packaging lines.

Its Cermex ProSelex infeed system for complex, unstable bottles is a flexible collating system designed for any type of case packer. As a grouping device, it is set to provide an efficient, highly available, and operable packaging and palletising process.

The RoboAccess_Pal S, meanwhile, is a compact palletising solution designed for the food, home, and personal care (FHPC) industries – claiming to offer agility and operability on a production line. Additionally, its patented Aseptic Combi Predis dry preform and cap decontamination solution hopes to help manufacturers of PET packaging for healthy drinks keep up with increasing demand.

With the aim of helping its customers optimise their flexibility and draw upon global expertise and technology, Sidel’s Evo-ON software suite uses packaging line intelligence to enable continuous production and enhance line performance. The full range of digital solutions will be displayed in a bid to show visitors how they can increase their production efficiency by utilising Evo-ON technology.

Visitors are also invited to discuss Sidel’s complete line solutions, which are said to combine Sidel’s portfolio of services across line concept, engineering, line control and automation, packaging technologies, and equipment with the company’s years of experience in the industry.

The company hopes to guide its customers in meeting the shifting priorities of the packaging market, providing its knowledge of sustainability-minded primary packaging – for example, 100% rPET and lightweighted primary packaging with tethered caps – and optimised secondary and tertiary packaging alternatives.

Furthermore, packaging design agency Gentlebrand will be present at Sidel’s booth to discuss the companies’ collaboration to meet sustainability goals while engineering and developing unique, eye-catching, and high-performance solutions.

“We look forward to welcoming our current and potential customers at Pack Expo in Las Vegas where we will demonstrate the very best of what we have to offer as a trusted, reliable partner,” says Marcos Pilati, vice president Equipment Sales for North America. “We will share our technological expertise while providing visitors with critical advice on how to meet the challenges facing the market today. Our team will be available for meetings which can be scheduled through our online show portal.”

Sidel’s end-of-line and traceability technologies are being used by Guerlain to combat counterfeiting, while a combined packaging and palletising solution for bottles in cartons is also said to be ensuring compactness and product care on Guerlain’s new line for advanced skincare.

During interpack 2023, SOMIC presented its SOMIC 434 machine series for tray packaging, tray lid, or wraparound solutions and the SOMIC CORAS collection and grouping system; while Shemesh Automation displayed two of its A-Z turnkey packaging line solutions, encouraging its customers to source all integrated equipment from one supplier.
