ExxonMobil will be showcasing its polymer solutions at K 2025 in Dusseldorf, Germany, from October 8th-15th, including product samples, film rolls and the option to interact with solutions from industries such as agriculture, healthcare and consumer products during guided tours.
The company will be displaying its solutions at the ExxonMobil Pavilion FG04.3 outside Hall 4. ExxonMobil says multiple solutions were created in collaboration with machine manufacturers, converters, and brand owners, such as its mono-material PE solutions designed for recyclability and/or downgauging opportunities like the MDO cereal pouches from Colines, freezer pouches from W&H, silo bags from Armando Alvarez, pet food bags from Bandera and vacuum skin cheese packaging from Alpine.
The company will also be displaying its ‘high-performance’ solutions incorporating post-consumer recycled content (PCR) including cast stretch film from Erema, block bottom valve bags from Selene, stretch hood films from Reifenhauser and silage covers from RaniPlast.
In addition to a virtual reality-based tour, samples incorporating Exxtend technology ‘certified- circular’ polymers will include wrappers, food trays, bags, and pouches. ExxonMobil will also present its range of Mobil hydraulic oils, greases, and specialty lubricants designed to meet the demanding needs of the plastics and polymer industry.
Peter Hinssen, a thought leader on technological evolution, innovation strategy, and adaptive leadership, will discuss “A Never Normal Future” at the ExxonMobil Pavilion on Monday, October 13th (17:00 CET). There will also a be a roundtable discussion on “The Future of Our Industry – Balancing Competitiveness and Circularity” on Thursday, October 9th (17:00 CET) hosted by Dan Moore, vice president of ExxonMobil Product Solutions.
Panelists include Elżbieta Bieńkowska, former European commissioner for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs and Marco Mensink, director general of Cefic (European Chemical Industry Council).
ExxonMobil is due to host daily guided tours in its pavilion on topics such as designing for recyclability, incorporating recycled content and partnering to pioneer innovation in the packaging, agricultural and automotive industries with ExxonMobil Signature Polymers.
