BW Packaging has announced the launch of its Hayssen X850 multi-jaw flow wrapper, designed for cheese and other products that require high seal integrity at high speeds.
BW Packaging says the Hayssen X850 has high throughput and cycles up to 300 with over 1 second of dwell time, able to detect and clear product jams without stopping. Its film unwind system allows operators to fine-tune film tracking, enabling easy film loading and reducing downtime, while the servo jaw control minimizes wear and maintenance.
The Hayssen X850 also aims to meet the requirements of today’s manufacturer through its stainless steel frame for IP66 wash down, hygienic sloped surfaces and independent temperature control that can run various types of zippers and films, including recyclable materials.
“In addition to its exceptional performance, we designed the machine to be smart,” comments Brantley Turner, senior product manager at BW Packaging. “The Hayssen X850 has both brawn and brains. With RFID login and advanced OpView HMI standard on every machine, operation is made simple for any operator.”
Earlier this year, ULMA Packaging launched its FM 400 horizontal flow wrap packaging machine, aiming to meet the demands of high-speed Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) applications in the fresh food sector and designed with hygiene, efficiency, and durability in mind. The FM 400 is compatible with a wide range of barrier films from traditional laminates to shrink materials and features a 10” colour touchscreen for operation and control.
We recently spoke to Copar about its recyclable flow wrap for sausages, a finalist in this year’s Sustainability Awards, nominated in the Commercialized Recyclable Packaging category. Said to reduce environmental impact, Copar claims the wrap delivers superior moisture, oxygen and grease protection while remaining ‘affordable, scalable and sustainable’ for diverse commercial food packaging applications.
