WeighPack Systems has announced the release of its Swifty Bagger S-3600 Duplex Servo machine designed to maximize productivity, flexibility, and ease of use for pouch bagging.
Part of the company’s Swifty Bagger pre-made pouch filling machine range, the Swifty Bagger S-3600 is said to be capable of opening, filling and sealing up to 70 pre-made pouches per minute or 4,200 pouches per hour. With twin pouch infeed conveyors and dual fill stations, the bagger ‘seamlessly’ handles liquids, solids, and powders with high speed and precision.
Apparently, the S-3600 features a unique straight-line design allowing operators full visibility of the bag opening, filling, and sealing processes. This layout aims to reduce the need for additional personnel, simplify servicing and ensure uninterrupted productivity.
The Swifty Bagger range can be integrated with printers for businesses to add QR codes, expiration dates or custom branding directly onto pouches, seeking to enhance flexibility and operational efficiency. The new machine can be used for various applications including snacks, confectionery, seafood, meats, gummies, coffee, tobacco, flour, chemicals and pet treats.
According to WeighPack, the S-3600 has an automatic zipper opener to streamline pouch preparation, a bag shaker to level products during filling and an integrated exit conveyor designed to improve handling efficiency. The company adds that the machine handles multiple pouch styles such as doy pack, SUP, pillow, carry handle and 3-side and 4-side sealed pouches.
In similar news, last year ValTara unveiled its Breezy Wrapper machine, designed to pivot between horizontal flow wrapping and vertical bagging of trays and containers. The wrapper also automatically adjusts films to the product’s length and is recommended for use in applications such as institutional packaging, fruit and vegetables and baked goods.
A few months later, Syntegon announced it would debut its PMX 4001 vertical bagger for ground coffee and whole beans at FACHPACK 2024. Designed for use with both conventional and recyclable packaging materials, the bagger is said to produce protective, high-quality bags with a ‘significantly smaller’ footprint than other PMX models.
