Ruizhi Machinery’s end-to-end machine automatically loads paper rolls and produces flat-handled paper bags in a continuous process, aiming to optimize production efficiency while minimizing manual labour.

The RZFD-330(IF) Flat Handle Inside Fold Square Bottom Paper Bag Machine uses its integrated flat handle patching and inside-fold unit to combine handle forming, patching, and inside folding in one process.

This approach is set to streamline production, boost efficiency, and result in aesthetically pleasing, structurally sound paper bags with firmly attached and neatly folded handles.

In a bid to save time and labour, the machine’s automatic hydraulic lifting system replaces the manual effort of loading paper rolls. Its web guiding system is designed to minimize adjustment time and avoid interrupting operations by ‘quickly and accurately’ aligning the paper roll position.

Automatic bottom opening, bottom gluing, counting, and stacking all take place in the bag forming section. The synchronized cutting and traction units are set to ensure precise bag dimensions as edge gluing is evenly applied, thus resulting in an end-to-end solution for producing paper bags.

The process is compatible with various bag sizes, including bag widths of 220-330 mm, bag lengths of 270-530 mm, and paper roll widths of 590-1050 mm. Ruizhi Machinery hopes that its solution will meet a range of customer requirements, including gift bags and premium packaging.

In similar news, Amazon recently deployed automated machinery across its European operations, including a retrofitted version of its original plastic bag machines; this uses sensors to measure a product’s dimensions, then pack and heat-seal it in a right-sized, made-to-fit paper bag.

WeighPack Systems has also adapted its latest VersaPak vertical form fill and seal bagging machine to operate with paper film; the move is hoped to lessen the environmental impact of its packaging and meet consumer demand for ‘eco-conscious’ alternatives to plastic packaging.
