WeighPack Systems has launched its High-Speed Rigid Container Weigh Filling System, said to deliver ‘unmatched’ performance, accuracy, and line integration. The system also aims to deliver ‘exceptional’ throughput and consistency for demanding production environments.

Designed to meet the growing needs of food, cannabis, snack, nutraceutical, hardware and specialty product manufacturers, the company states that the new system achieves speeds of up to 150 rigid containers per minute while ensuring gentle handling and precise weight accuracy. The system’s 24-Head PrimoCombi delivers high-resolution weight accuracy for a wide variety of products, while the Spindexer HS Rotary Filler provides ‘smooth and efficient’ container movement through its gear-worm transfer system, triple star wheel assembly, and dual timing catch boxes.

WeighPack says these features ensure consistent fills, stable indexing, and minimal product giveaway. The integrated walk-around platform allows operators easier access for inspections and maintenance, enabling ergonomic workflow and overall equipment efficiency.

To improve manufacturing uptime, the system includes colour-coordinated changeover parts, allowing operators to quickly identify, remove, and replace components with ‘near-zero’ error risk. Apparently, this design dramatically reduces changeover time, enabling production teams to switch between container sizes and SKUs faster.

The company adds that the high-speed solution can integrate with customers’ downstream equipment, including capping machines, labelling systems and case formers, packers, and sealers. The system is engineered to handle all shapes and sizes of rigid containers, and the interior status lighting provides immediate visual feedback on machine conditions, improving line visibility.

In similar news, earlier this year Syntegon unveiled its new line concept for liquid pharmaceuticals, designed to addresses the challenges of high performance, availability, maximum product yield and minimal operator intervention. The system features a gloveless isolator aiming to allow pharmaceutical manufacturers to automate their processes and minimize human intervention.

More recently, Rotzinger PharmaPack revealed its new filling and capping platform for over-the-counter (OTC) products such as non-aseptic pharmaceuticals as well as solid and liquid products from the cosmetics, personal care, and nutraceutical industries. Rotzinger states that the platform also has a small footprint, with space savings of over 50% due to a high degree of automation and exchangeable modules.
