TUBEX 06.06.25

TUBEX has unveiled what it claims is the ‘world’s first’ applicator tube made entirely from a single piece of recycled aluminium, designed for applying beauty products to the eye and lip areas.

The MonoSense applicator tube is available in multiple sizes with either aluminium or plastic caps. TUBEX says it has high dispensing efficiency for optimal product use and ‘outstanding’ barrier properties.

The tube consists of 95% post-consumer and 5% post-industrial recycled aluminium. The company adds that the tube is naturally airtight and lightproof with no suck-back effect, aiming to ensure hygiene and product stability.

“At TUBEX, we are committed to continuously evolving aluminium tube packaging through purposeful innovation and design. With the MonoSense, we’re introducing a one-piece aluminium tube with an integrated applicator made entirely from a single material. It combines premium aesthetics, a refined user experience, and environmental responsibility,” says Cornelius Grupp, CEO at TUBEX.

In related news, in February we reported on Tilt Beauty’s refillable mascara and lip treatment products in patented ergonomic packaging, intended as an accessible solution for consumers with mobility issues, visual impairments, skin conditions, and other disabilities. Each box seeks to accommodate visually impaired consumers with on-pack Braille and text printed in the Braille Institute’s Atkinson Hyperlegible font for improved readability.

More recently, Evolve Organic Beauty launched two refills of its shower products in Pulpex’s fibre-based bottles, apparently marking their first-ever commercial use in personal care. The new bottles for the African Orange Aromatic Hand & Body Wash and Superfood Shine Shampoo products allow customers to refill at home, seeking to reduce packaging waste and enable the bottles to be recycled alongside paper and cardboard.
