C&T Plastic Pallets

Following the launch of its plastic pallets in 2023, C&T Matrix (C&T) has supplied 106 format pallets to carton packaging manufacturer Ken Wilkins Print, said to increase sheet conversion by up to 15%.

C&T says that since 2023 it has sold over 5000 of the BRC-accredited units, with customers praising the pallets for their ease of manual handling and improved safety and hygienic production capabilities. The pallets are designed for use on nonstop logistic systems for print and die cutting.

According to the company, the pallets can result in an up to 15% increase in sheets converted during a 24-hour shift. They are also said to be easy to clean, robust, and eradicate carton contamination during production, compared to traditional wooden pallets that can splinter. Customers can choose various sizes to align with their production format and machine dimensions.

Howard Mead, C&T commercial director, comments: “We strive for a long-term partnership with our clients. We understand the need to maximize their production capabilities and exploit every advantage with quality products, advice and technical support.”

The start of this year saw SEE introduce new digital die-cutting capabilities for its Sealed Air brand Korrvu’s retention and suspension packaging, said to be kerbside recyclable. The packaging aims to decrease production lead times and free up storage space at customer facilities.

At FACHPACK 2024, Constantia Flexibles showcased its ‘industry-first’ aluminium prints, created specifically for die-cut dairy lids. At the event we spoke to Michael Harder, senior vice president of Dairy and Thomas Schulz, vice president of Group Marketing Communication, about the challenges around dairy product packaging and how the new technology could enhance flexibility and efficiency in packaging.
