Emballator has announced the pre-launch of its monotube prototype, which it says is made of 100% aluminium, as it looks for collaborators on the pilot project.
The company claims that the monotube is entirely plastic-free, with the cap also being made from aluminium. As aluminium can be fully recycled, it says there is “nothing that can interfere with or affect the recyclability” of the monotube.
Tobias Lidevei, CEO at Emballator Tectubes, says: “The monotube is in 100% aluminium and makes the recycling process easier and better. The tube has the same product features as an original tube and works for all our market segments. Both tube and cap have the same design as before.”
In May, Emballator launched a new range of tubes made from 100% post-consumer recycled aluminium that it claims can be used across healthcare, chemical and food segments. The company also released a new recyclable plastic material called rPP Soft Grey, apparently made with at least 90% recycled plastic, as part of its ongoing commitment to creating a circular economy.
The company says that it is looking for partners to continue the development of the monotube prototype: “We believe in collaborations when it comes to innovation that can really change the market.
“Right now, we are working with a pilot case but are looking for new partners to commercialize the product and fully go to market.”
Emballator is asking for collaborators to contact it in order to be a part of the project.
