Alessandra Funcia serves as the Head of Sales and Marketing for Europe, Middle East and Africa at Sukano. She brings over 25 years of multifaceted experience in global and regional leadership roles across multinational corporations.
Her career is rooted in the color and additive masterbatch industry, combining deep technical knowledge with commercial acumen and marketing insight. At Sukano, Alessandra steers the development and execution of the company’s sustainability agenda and strategic direction.
As a trained chemist with dual MBAs, Alessandra’s approach is grounded in science-based decisions. Through her work, she promotes meaningful, real-world impacts within the industry and beyond.

Michael Kirch
Head of R&D
Sukano
Michael Kirch joined Sukano in 2007 and has played a leading role in the company´s development of functional and optical masterbatches and compounds for the plastics industry.
As Head of R&D, he has managed a global group of engineers, chemists and technicians, as well as the global R&D technical center. With over 25 years of experience in the plastics industry, he and his team provide outstanding support to customers worldwide that manufacture polyester and specialty resins.
Michael Kirch holds a master’s degree in material science and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
