Pro Mach debuts at interpack, May 4-10, 2017, in Hall 14 at Stand E31, the company’s expanded line of capping solutions – inline and rotary capping machines – under the global Zalkin brand.
In addition to Zalkin leading-edge capping machines for moderate to high speed production, the new Zalkin one-stop-shop for capping machines offers rugged, cost-effective NJM Packaging Beltorque model inline capping machines for the pharmaceutical industry, and similar quality Pack West model inline machines from Pacific Packaging Machinery for a host of consumer and industrial applications.
“Customers now have one point of contact for sales and support for a continuum of solutions that involve Zalkin, Beltorque and Pack West model capping machines,” said Doug Stambaugh, Bottling & Capping Group Senior Vice President. “With this new breadth of offering, Zalkin can recommend the best solution for the application and price point. Products sold under the Zalkin brand are designed and manufactured to delight operators and plant managers for years with the machine’s quality, performance, and cost effectiveness.”
Machines on display at InterpackZalkin introduces at Interpack the new TM300 FILLCAPP, a single-head stand-alone capper with integrated filling capabilities that can fill and cap up to 30 containers per minute (CPM) and up to 60 CPM for two-station models. This automated filling and capping machine is designed for production runs requiring both quick changeover and fast clean-in-place capability. The unit is ideal for space constrained operations because it eliminates the need to have a separate filler, conveyor, and capper. Zalkin is also showing a standalone TM series single-head capping machine. The TM series is suitable for sealing, screw-capping, and push-on capping at rates up to 60 CPM. Also available are roll on pilfer proof and pump capping solutions.
Visitors to the Pro Mach booth will see a Beltorque model inline capper for the pharmaceutical industry. Beltorque models feature high quality, precise cap tightening. With the use of synchronized belts, these versatile and innovative machines reach specified torque without cap scuffing. A single control for torque adjustment speeds setup and changeover. Beltorque models can operate at up to 300 CPM and handle screwing caps on almost any type of bottles. These machines can also be used in snap closure and retorquing applications. Hundreds of Beltorque machines are in service around the world.
Since the 1970’s, Pack West model capping machines have been used in both screw-on and press-on applications. Pack West inline model automatic spindle cappers are rugged and versatile, and they support cap sizes up to 135mm without the need for cap or container handling change parts. Visitors to the Pro Mach booth will see the Pack West model quill system in operation. This system utilizes independently adjustable clutches for gentle and reliable torque control. For caps that require an induction seal, inline retorquing units are available.
