Antares Vision Group has collaborated with Oròbix to create AI-GO, an artificial intelligence-driven visual inspection platform developed to meet growing needs for faster, more accurate and adaptable inspection processes.
Compared to traditional systems, AI-GO can consistently identify complex anomalies such as chromatic impurities, glass fragments, cosmetic defects or foreign bodies. This is said to result in a reduction in false rejects and an increase in overall production process quality.
The platform accomplishes this by automatically creating classification, segmentation and optical character recognition (OCR) models, which can be developed in short windows with limited examples and without operator specialty skills. Antares says this enables the models to be adapted to various formats and products, contributing to reduced set-up time and improving the flexibility and operating efficiency of production lines.
AI-GO’s structure consists of AI-GO Studio - a cloud environment to gather images and train models - and AI-GO Runtime, an edge module allowing autonomous execution of models directly into production lines, even in offline settings. According to the company, this framework guarantees operating robustness and easy implementation even in complex industrial scenarios. In future, Antares Vision Group plans to incorporate Vision Language Models into the platform.
Last year the company introduced its new Food Safety Solution, a cloud-based platform designed to improve regulatory compliance, precision traceability and supply chain transparency for food and beverage brand owners. Said to offer full turnkey traceability for raw materials and ingredients, the solution aims to help brand owners vouch for their authenticity and origin.
In related news, Palantir Technologies recently announced a multi-year partnership with Fedrigoni, aiming to accelerate Fedrigoni’s stock optimization and demand forecasting through Palantir’s AI solutions. With the new technology, Fedrigoni seeks to improve its responsiveness to market dynamics and enhance its ability to anticipate and meet customer demands.
