British inventor Willy Johnson has found an innovative use for avoiding plastic waste: a plastic bottle top that converts into a toy brick.
These bricks can be joined together to make towers and shapes. Instead of throwing away screw top bottle caps, they can be used as free, educational toy. Mr. Johnson has patented ToPo in the UK and here in the United States.
ToPo bottle tops can join together in two horizontal dimensions but can also lock together vertically to create all kinds of shapes.
ToPo bottle tops also are useful in the fight against obesity and cutting down on how much sugar children consume.
”With the ever increasing pressure to cut down on sugared drinks especially for the young, it is becoming a requirement to find ways of attracting children, and families too, to drink reduced sugar products such as mineral waters and flavoured drinks. Nothing attracts children more than a toy. ToPo can be the answer as it improves health, is environmentally friendly, but most of all fun to collect and play with, with the important hidden addition that it quietly helps the learning process," Mr. Johnson says.
