CIRCOR International has revealed its Zenith 2K Precision Gear Metering Systems, intended for precise, efficient multi-component material dispensing in the foam, adhesive, and sealant industries.

The Zenith 2K systems claim to deliver ‘unmatched’ accuracy in the metering and mixing processes with high-precision rotary gears. This is said to achieve a ‘smooth, continuous, and pulse-less flow’ with ‘impeccable’ results for sealants, adhesives, potting compounds, sealing foams, and more.

CIRCOR hopes that enhancing precision will help manufacturers optimize their production processes, maintain consistent product quality, and reduce waste.

Furthermore, the systems are designed for the ‘stable, precise, and repeatable’ flow control of process fluids, even in changing temperatures, viscosities, and pressures.

Hardened construction materials are utilized in the systems to improve durability, especially in abrasive applications. This is set to prolong their lifespan and cut down on maintenance costs. The individual components are described as ‘robust’ and aspire to survive high wear and tear for a long product life.

In a bid to eliminate shaft leakage and mechanical seal failures, CIRCOR offers a seal-free Magdrive option. Additionally, the 2K systems feature multi-pump capability to enable one or more pumps to be driven by a single motor or more – a move set to increase efficiency and flexibility in various production settings.

A range of configurations are available, such as the pump Series B, Series 9000, and H Series. These can be customized to suit a range of application needs and assist users in adapting to their unique production challenges.

In similar news, Robatech previously unveiled an application system for lightweight thermoplastic hot-melt adhesives. Geared towards simple applications like trays, folding boxes, paper cups, and sleeves for ice cream cones, it intends to combine minimalism with practicality in an easy-to-use, compact solution for easy and secure gluing.

Another system from Baumer hhs is designed to spray an anti-slip hot melt adhesive onto transport and shipping boxes to secure them in transit. It is applied before palletization in a bid to reduce businesses’ consumption of plastic film, and thus their packaging waste.
