In response to the growing popularity of gins and the continuing increase in online drinks sales, Berry M&H has launched a new light-weight postal 50ml PET spirit bottle.

Available in both round and square designs, Berry hopes that the clarity of the bottle will help to convey a premium image for drinks. Meanwhile, the packs can also be fully personalised to individual brand requirements through a variety of printing and labelling options.

Recognising customer sustainability commitments and by bringing its technical experience to bear, Berry can manufacture the bottles with varying levels of post-consumer recycled (PCR) content.

In addition to its range of standard bottles, Berry M&H’s in-house design team can work with customers to create a bespoke shape and unique identity to support specific branding objectives.

“Even before the coronavirus pandemic, online sales for premium drinks was a notable growth sector,” commented Manish Nagar, business development manager at Berry M&H’s Llantrisant site.

“Our bottle provides the perfect solution, with its clarity and durability helping to promote a quality image while its light weight and resistance to breakage provide a safe and efficient solution for postal deliveries.”

The launch of the new bottle aims to take advantage of the growing popularity of gin. Berry M&H says that the number of distilleries now producing the drink represents 66% of the spirits market with over 280 dedicated to gin production and a reported 800 brands available in the UK market alone.
