The latest multihead weigher innovation from Ishida Europe, the mid-range high performance RVE series, will be one of the highlights of the company’s stand at this year’s Foodex exhibition, which will focus on Ishida’s ability to devise complete food packing line solutions covering weighing, sealing and quality control.
Other models on show include the specialist Fresh Food Weigher for the accurate weighing of fresh, sticky products; state-of-the-art QX775 tray sealer; and advanced AirScan leak detector, IX X-ray inspection system and DACS-GN checkweigher to assist in all aspects of maintaining the highest quality standards.
The new CCW-RV-E-214W multihead weigher is ideal for the weighing of free-flowing and semi-sticky products for a large number of dry, fresh and frozen food applications. Key to its excellent performance is the incorporation of several advanced technology features from Ishida’s top-of-the-range RV multihead weighers, including programmable digital filtering and advanced automatic feeder adjustment. Weighers in the RVE range can be tailored to individual product requirements with a top speed of up to 120 weighments per minute depending on the model and application.
The 6-head CCW-R2-106B Fresh Food Weigher (FFW) is designed for all types of sticky fresh products in smaller production batches. Product is typically delivered by a conveyor belt to the top of the weigher. An operator then distributes it via six belt feeders to the weigh hoppers to ensure an even distribution, helping to increase both the speed and efficiency of the weighing process. Special scrapers on the plastic hoppers minimise product sticking to the contact surfaces.
From its recently launched range of X-ray inspection systems, the Ishida IX-EN-4093-S is ideal for manufacturers requiring an affordable but highly accurate entry-level solution. The reliable machine balances impressive sensitivity with minimal operating costs, incorporating Ishida’s unique Genetic Algorithm (GA) image processing function that delivers superior inspection sensitivity. As well as spotting foreign bodies, the IX-EN-4093-S can also identify damaged and missing products or components.
The award-winning Ishida AirScan minimises spoilage in a wide variety of pre-packed retail food products where CO2 is used as part of the MAP process. It uses advanced laser technology to identify leaks of CO2 from holes as small as 0.25mm in sealed MAP packs at speeds of up to 180 packs per minute, ensuring that maximum quality can be achieved without compromising on high throughput speeds and minimum packing time.
The DACS-GN-SE checkweigher range offers a high-value economy model combining exceptional speed and accuracy at an affordable price. The checkweigher features an intuitive and robust display with easy to learn menu structure for quick set up and operator training, together with an open frame design that provides easy cleaning and maintenance. It can also be fitted with Ishida RRC (Retailer Reject Confirmation) to help food manufacturers meet the latest retail codes of practice. In addition, the DACS-GN can be specified with Ishida Data Capture System (IDCS II), a powerful software that captures the data from every pack that passes across the checkweigher and generates real-time displays and reports which focus attention on major cost-saving opportunities.
Ishida’s QX-775-Flex tray sealer combines a compact design with high speeds for MAP (Modified Atmosphere Packaging) trays of up to 15 cycles per minute, along with maximum hygiene and high quality pack and product presentation. It is suitable for products such as ready meals, meat, poultry, fish and salads, and compatible with a variety of packaging applications including standard MAP, skinpack and shrink film.
