In the face of changing regulations, the packaging industry faces plentiful sustainability pressures. Paperization – using paper for packaging applications that were previously catered for by different materials such as plastics – has really gained traction.
That being said, paper is not suitable for all applications, and adding barriers in a sustainable way can still be a challenge.
