We know that the industry standard technology for metallic decoration, hot and cold foil stamping, is far from environmentally friendly. Each year, thousands of tons of foil waste are sent to landfil or burned at incineration plants. Mainstream waste contractors can’t offer viable recovery options for bulky foil waste, as the logistics required make it cost prohibitive for most.
ACTEGA has reinvented the metallization process by using “on-demand” metallization. With ECOLEAF, metal flakes are only placed where they are needed, eliminating the need for PET carrier film and therefore foil reels. This significantly reduces waste and plastic consumption and minimizes the environmental impact associated with the production and disposal of these plastics. A certified full life cycle assessment of our technology justifies our claim – no greenwashing, we can demonstrate what we say.
In this web seminar you will gain insights into the many advantages that the technology offers and how it can help to reduce the scope 3 CO2 impact. A special focus will be placed on the requirements of the cosmetics and personal care industry.
Learning Objectives:
- Find out how sustainability is reshaping our industry
- Introducing ECOLEAF - a solutionary approach to label embellishment:
