Cosmo Films Ltd., a global producer of specialty films for flexible packaging, lamination and labeling applications, and synthetic paper, recently introduced a new bi-axially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) based transparent film designed for large packs and pouches used in the fresh food packaging industry.

The newly launched transparent antifog film has cold and hot antifogging properties, fusion sealing strength of 1226-3498 g/inch, a hot tack ranging from 280 to 530 g/inch for a temperature range of 130-140 degrees Celsius, and comes with a wide thickness range of 25, 30 and 35µ.

The film is designed for varied applications, such as food packaging, fresh vegetables, fruits and salad, meat products, and dairy products. Regarding end of life, a representative from the company told Packaging Europe: “Being from the Polypropylene family, the film is completely recyclable in monolayered structures.”
