SIRANE EAST’S new factory in Moscow is now open for business, with the many planning and logistical challenges of beginning manufacturing in Russia finally overcome.
The new production facility will serve the Russian Federation, as well as many of the independent republics including Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Sirane’s absorbent pads for food packaging have been imported into Russia for 18 months, and with strong demand the decision was taken to establish local manufacturing.Pavel Prokofiev, the Sirane East director responsible for the day-to-day running of the new operation, said: “Sirane products have experienced an increasing demand in Russia, and we are really overwhelmed by the customer response to our range and quality.
“We have been eagerly anticipating the opening of the Moscow production facility for a while now, as it will allow us to offer our customers an even better level of service.”
Absorbent pads are just the beginning - Sirane East plans to begin manufacturing additional food packaging and industrial products as part of a second stage of expansion.Sirane offers a wide range of food packaging solutions, including cooking bags and films, ovenable pads and dividers, protective packaging and more. The company also specialises in shelf-life extension – particularly important in Russia where food can travel vast distances.
