Amcor announces it has collaborated with Nestle and a coalition of companies to produce a soft plastic food wrapper for KitKat made with 30% recycled polypropylene.

Partnering together Amcor, Nestlé, CurbCycle, iQ Renew, Licella, Viva Energy Australia, LyondellBasell, REDcycle, and Taghleef Industries, leveraged their individual expertise in collecting and processing soft plastic waste to create the prototype KitKat wrapper for the Australian market.

Simon Roy, vice president and general manager for Amcor Flexibles Australia and New Zealand commented: “This is an exciting time for Amcor and our participation in this project is fully aligned with our commitment to ensure all our packaging is designed to be recyclable or reusable by 2025.
