Steriline, a highly specialized manufacturer of complete lines for the aseptic processing of injectable drugs, will attend the world’s leading pharmaceutical event CPhI Worldwide to take place at the Frankfurt Messe (Germany), from 24 to 26 October 2017.
In the context of P-MEC, one of the four co-located events at CPhI Worldwide covering specifically pharmaceutical machinery, technology and equipment, Steriline (Hall 4.0 - Booth 40H23) will provide pharma professionals and suppliers from all over the world with an overview of its advanced robotic solutions for the primary packaging of injectable drugs. More specifically, visitors will have the opportunity to take a closer look to Steriline’s new Robotic Pulsed Light Sterilizer as the first machine to adopt the pulsed light technology for Ready-To-Use (RTU) nest sterilization.
Currently under testing, this new robotic application from Steriline will ensure multiple advantages to companies operating in this field. Through a process achieving a 6-log reduction, the new Robotic Pulsed Light Sterilizer (RPLS1) can sterilize tubs of syringes, vials and cartridges by means of pulsed light, with a processing capacity up to 120 tubs/h.
Compact and lightweight, the machine is automatically sterilized by vapour of hydrogen peroxide (VHP) before starting the production. Furthermore, if compared with standard electron beam processing solutions, this Pulsed Light Sterilizer is more cost effective and easier to install.
Designed to work at its best in association with Steriline’s Robotic Nest Filling Machine, the new Robotic Pulsed Light Sterilizer (RPLS1) can also be connected to any RTU filling machine of other manufacturers. Ideal for the connection of a machine enclosed in Isolators, it represents as well a perfect stand-alone solution for glass manufacturers producing RTU containers for injectable drugs.
"As confirmed by the great success obtained at INTERPACK last May, when we first showcased a preview of the RPLS1, the introduction of this new robotic application has been positively welcomed by the pharmaceutical industry. This is a further recognition to Steriline’s commitment to always provide customers with innovative and highly performing solutions, to achieve improved efficiency, consistent quality and enhanced safety," commented Federico Fumagalli, Chief Commercial Officer at Steriline. "We are looking forward to present the machine and its new features also to pharma operators attending CPhI Worldwide next October and we are confident they will enjoy it also thanks to our dedicated Virtual Reality application."
At Steriline’s booth, a Virtual Reality “corner” will be set up in fact to give visitors the chance to see the new Robotic Pulsed Light Sterilizer at work, integrated in a RTU nest filling line as it would be in reality. In this way, pharma professionals will be able to learn more about this technology itself and to observe, in “real time”, the interaction between the RPLS1 and a RTU nest filling line while processing the tubs.
