Label manufacturers Royston Labels have announced that they will be moving their operations to one site as of next year.

Currently, the Hertfordshire-based company operates across four different facilities, factories and offices. The move to a brand new central site is the next big step for the Royston team and comes on the back of a successful year in which they bagged Best in Show at the FINAT Awards.

The new building has been described as a “state-of-the-art production facility”, specifically designed to facilitate greater efficiency and sustainable growth over the next few years. Condensing operations into one location has long been the dream of Royston’s Managing Director, Paul Clayton, who has expressed his excitement about the benefits for both the Royston Labels and existing and future clients.

“The move into one building will increase our productivity and help us to create more of a cohesive team,” Clayton has said. “We will be applying for BRC accreditation once we move in, which will allow us to operate in more markets. The investment in new machinery will also allow us to increase our digital and conventional offerings and be even more flexible when it comes to our customers’ requirements.”

On the subject of what kind of specific new services will be made available, Clayton has remained tight-lipped, but he promises that all will be revealed closer to the time. In terms of site geography, current clients, employees, and stakeholders will have nothing to worry about, as the new building is located just a short walk from Royston Labels’ current office.

With building commencing in September of this year, it’s hoped that the team can make the transition to the new site in the first quarter of 2018. There’s currently no pressure on Royston to vacate their existing offices, which means that the moving process is guaranteed to be seamless, and have little to no impact on production. In the long term, the new facilities are expected to contribute to further enhancements and even greater productivity. Overall, it’s an exciting new chapter for the Royston brand.
