At the international tradeshow for packaging and logistics ALL4PACK in Paris (26-29 November), Omron Industrial Automation will showcase fully simulated flexible production environments featuring the company’s integrated automation solutions designed to help turn today’s manufacturing facilities into the factories of the future (booth 6 S 122).

One of the highlights on the booth is a flexible and integrated production line demonstration, a typical example of a manufacturer’s request to easily perform customization of products, depending up on specific customer requests. This demonstration combines a mobile robot that autonomously brings and picks up pallets to and from the cell, with a feeding solution that includes a vision system for locating the parts, and a pick and place robot to fill the pallets. In this demo, Omron also showcases the new i4 SCARA robot that can visualize working data and supervise its status with the world’s first built-in signals for preventive maintenance, allowing users to mitigate unplanned downtime.

Stéphane Chômienne, General Manager at Omron Electronics SAS, explains: “Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) is a top priority for manufacturers. This is why our innovative solutions are aimed at optimizing performance, availability, and quality to improve OEE. By defining what relevant data is needed, where and how to collect, visualize and interpret it, we aim to collect the right input to be able to automate adjustments, even without human intervention. We bring data from the floor, into action, and to the cloud.”

Stéphane Chômienne concludes: “We are dedicated to offering solutions that will enable food & beverage, cosmetics and pharmaceutical manufacturers to go on a joint journey step-by-step to flexible production. Omron is uniquely positioned to assist manufacturers and their OEM's on this journey, having the technology and complete solutions for these changes, as well as continuously developing new innovations such as the new i4 robot family.'
