At PLAST 2018, one of the world’s most important plastic processing events, NEGRI BOSSI, in HALL 24,stand C121‐D122, will officially launch a new platform NOVA range of machines.
The new solution of mid‐range machines replaces the Vector range of machines and is available in700, 850 and 1150 tonnes, with injection capacities ranging from 2010 to 6107 cm³ and Euromapclassifications 4960, 7460 and 9750.
One of the key features is a revolutionary new X‐design toggle system that provides vastly increasedstrokes, tie bar distances and platen speeds in a very compact footprint. The range is also equippedwith a new automatic filtered lubrication system in a closed loop, hydraulic control. The machines aredriven by latest generation servo motor and pumps, providing higher modularity and offering greaterflexibility across the range.
The range is also equipped with a brand‐new controller, Motus, that will ultimately be available acrossthe full range of NEGRI BOSSI machines. The MOTUS is a 21, 5’’ Multi Touch Screen with a totalconfigurable interface, a user‐friendly and innovative gesture navigation allowing easy set up. Theinterface is also totally customisable, allowing the user to personalise screen and functions. A smartalarms function offers a state of the art fault management system.
These mid‐range NOVA machines are being launched in two versions, servo hydraulic (NOVA s) andhybrid (NOVA i). Both machine classes will be running at PLAST, moulding products that willdemonstrate the capabilities of each model.
To complete the line‐up of NOVA machines, is a full electric machine (NOVA e) offered in the range 50to 350 tonnes. NOVA e will be shown on the NEGRI BOSSI stand with mould solutions ranging fromextreme speed packaging to precision moulding.
The launch of NOVA will allow NEGRI BOSSI to expand into new market areas. The new models willnow cover a greater scope of sectors enabling customers to also specify NEGRI BOSSI for all theirspecialist requirements.
NEGRI BOSSI has many collaborations including tool makers and ancillary partners. Working withthese different partners at PLAST allows us to fully demonstrate our new technologies.Among these collaborations on the NEGRI BOSSI stand, there is also a corner dedicated to projectOPENPLAST. This is the Italian answer to the growing Industry 4.0. in plastic transformation. In thisarea we will demonstrate the progress of interconnecting and integrating various systems fromdifferent suppliers and technologies. With NEGRI BOSSI providing the database of machine data,integration with the suppliers and components will allow the customer to receive the ultimatereliability and service support.
