At this year's SPS IPC Drives show, November 27-29 in Nuremberg, Germany, Mitsubishi Electric will present a variety of technologies for enabling digital transformation in manufacturing. As a solution partner for smart manufacturing, Mitsubishi Electric will be showing applications for engineering, production and maintenance.
Engineering: intelligent integration
The latest version of Mitsubishi Electric's SCADA system, MAPS 4, enables shorter development times in engineering. Using object-oriented functions, MAPS 4 can integrate and visualise both the company's own devices and third-party equipment very quickly and easily. The Life Cycle Management tool also enables cloud connection and high flexibility due to its scalability.
Manufacturing: smart automation
For the manufacturing sector, Mitsubishi Electric offers solutions that allow intelligent automation to be achieved at various levels of production: integrative robotics technology, for example with the current SCARA robot package for beginners, the Linear Transfer System (LTS) with Smart Carriages for optimised intralogistics, as well as the comprehensive MEnergy concept for more efficient energy management.
Maintenance: clever system management
Maintenance in the era of industry 4.0 means value retention through predictive maintenance. In addition to an integrated AR application for robot maintenance, Mitsubishi Electric offers the "GOT Drive" solution for machine diagnostics. This enable servo controllers and frequency inverters to exchange friction and vibration data directly with the GOT2000 series HMI. With the "GOT Mobile" function, production data can also be queried from any location and alarm messages can be received via mobile phone, tablet or PC. With these and many other solutions, Mitsubishi Electric is supporting companies in planning and implementing smart manufacturing projects.
