Windmöller & Hölscher presenter Mr. Ali Hassan will discuss packaging 4.0 solutions for optimisation of extrusion, printing, filling and packaging processes, followed by Dr. Tom Redant, Hammer IMS, introducing the M-Ray technology used for film thickness measurement and defect detection in heavy duty sacks. Payper and Beumer Group join together bringing the latest innovations in machinery presented by Mr. Jacky Fricker and Mr. Gregor Baumeister. Paper vs. Plastic Heavy Duty Sacks Innovations
Mr. Thierry de Vleminck of Mondi challenges plastic bags with the latest innovations in paper bags. Then Hood Packaging Executive Director, Mr. Steve Bajinski, will provide an insight into the paper to plastic sack conversion for flour products in the US market.
Until recently, switching fine powder products from paper to plastic sacks has been a real challenge. Bischof + Klein begins day 2 discussing the intricacies of the move from paper to plastic bags for fine powders with Mr. Uwe Wiegand taking the stage; while Mr. Thomas Steffen from RKW will discuss further benefits of the self-venting system of plastics sacks and their moisture-barrier properties which are crucial for packing fine powders. The programme of presentations will be concluded by Indevco Plastics, Mr. Robert Laird, who will present the latest developments achieved in PE bags.
