Guinness has a rich history in Ghana, where they have been brewing beer for 50 years.
To support this country and celebrate its historic 60 years of independence, Guinness worked with Constantia Flexibles to create a neck foil label that brings Ghana’s rich heritage to the forefront. With help from the Ghana Cultural Council, the eye-catching label was designed to be at the heart of the Ghana’s Independence celebrations.
The 8-color aluminium foil label was printed using rotogravure and featured a tear-off perforation for a clean bottle opening. In addition to the limited edition labels, Guinness created an advertising campaign around the anniversary, featuring 60 ‘everyday Ghanaians’ who represent the unique spirit of Ghana. Guinness has contributed to making Ghana great by sourcing raw materials locally and by employing more than 16,000 Ghanaian farmers.
Constantia Flexibles was honoured to create this limited edition label that celebrates Ghanaian independence and the ongoing partnership between Guinness and Ghana.
