At the event, Telsonic UK will showcase the latest in ultrasonic modules and systems, targeted at packaging and food cutting applications.

The precise control of the ultrasonic process, together with the reliable and durable seal produced when using ultrasonics, makes the technology an attractive proposition for a wide range of packaging applications, including the welding and sealing of rigid and flexible packaging products.

Visitors to Telsonic’s stand will be able to see a selection of hardware including the MAG range of generators, examples from the AC actuator series and a Handystar hand-held ultrasonic system to demonstrate the process. Also on show will be examples of where the technology has been successfully applied in packaging applications.

Food cutting using ultrasonic technology remains a steady growth area for Telsonic, especially in applications where the technology is used in conjunction with robots. This increase in the number of systems being integrated to robots can in part be attributed to Telsonic’s development of special sonotrodes, both 500mm in width and most recently 760mm in width, designed for 30” x 18” tray bake applications. These can be either robot mounted or guillotine mounted as deemed necessary for the specific application.

These IP rated systems include special double length and lightweight  “T “ sonotrodes for cutting deeper products, and are driven by Telsonic’s compact 20kHz MAG generators. Telsonic produce packaging and food cutting systems in 20kHz, 30kHz and 35kHz frequencies.

Telsonic’s robot-friendly modules are being used by a number of food industry system integrators to produce highly flexible cutting and portioning systems for applications on tray baked products, round cakes, gateaux’s and products presented on conveyor systems.

Telsonic will be exhibiting on Stand number G62 at the NEC, Birmingham between the 25th and 27th September.
