Systech International (Systech), a global technology leader in brand protection, authentication and product safety has announced a strategic agreement with the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame (PSHoF), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization honoring the rich history of Philadelphia region sports since 2003. The PSHoF selected Systech's UniSecure solution to deliver a next-generation Digital Certificate of Authenticity (DCoA) on their genuine sports memorabilia.

"While looking for an opportunity to differentiate our items in the crowded sports memorabilia marketplace, guaranteed authenticity was a critical benefit.  When selling items at our events or on-line, offering this new authentication capability will be an exciting feature," said Ken Avallon, President of the PSHoF.  "Traditional paper certificates are easily lost, copied, and don't provide sufficient guarantee that the item is genuine. Offering a DCoA that assures authenticity as well as delivers additional descriptive information about that item will provide a value-add that is completely unique," said Avallon.

The PSHoF will place a QR code in a non-display position on each piece of its sports memorabilia.  UniSecure will be used to derive a unique digital identifier—an e-Fingerprint®—for each item.  A simple smartphone app will capture and authenticate the e-Fingerprint.  After authentication, the app will display the DCoA which shows item details like the date and location of where it was signed by the athlete, and the item number in a signed series.

"We know that UniSecure's authentication capabilities can bring amazing value to a wide range of markets," said Scott Magnacca, Systech's Senior Vice President & GM, UniSecure.  "Working with the PSHoF to help them enhance their sports memorabilia collection is very exciting."
