Ishida’s comprehensive range of packing line solutions for a wide variety of food markets will be showcased at Propak Cape, with an extensive range of equipment on display for weighing, inspection and snacks packing.
Highlights include a new economy checkweigher, the latest developments in multihead weighing and X-ray inspection technologies, and the world’s only complete and fully integrated snack food packing system with all elements from one supplier.
The Ishida Atlas iTPS™ provides the fastest and most accurate snack food packing system. The space-saving design incorporates an advanced Ishida CCW-RV 14 head multihead weigher with an Atlas 124R bagmaker delivering packing speeds of up to 200 bags per minute on extruded snacks while achieving maximum packing line efficiency, and minimum product and film waste.
The iTPS™ is being demonstrated with Ishida newest checkweigher the DACS-GN-SE and integrated Ceia metal detector. The DACS-GN-SE offers exceptional speed and accuracy at an affordable price. It features an intuitive, menu-based display for fast set-up, and its open frame design ensures easy cleaning. The checkweigher can also be specified with Reject Confirmation software to help food manufacturers meet the latest retail codes of practice.
Both multihead weighers on display offer excellent value to deliver typical paybacks of less than one year. The Ishida CHW-214 is capable of speeds up to 90 packs per minute with 1% or less product giveaway on a range of free flowing dry goods such as snacks, nuts, seeds, cereals, rice, pluses, pasta and sugar.
The Ishida CCW-M-106 FFW (Fresh Food Weigher) has been specifically designed for sticky and fragile products including fresh meat, poultry, seafood, dried fruits and coated products. Its linear design enables operators to direct product to individual hoppers which are equipped with scraper gates for decisive emptying and greater accuracy. The machine can cut giveaway to less than 1% of pack weight at speeds of up to 60 packs per minute (12 head model) and reduces labour costs by around three operators per shift, while its small footprint is ideal for factories with space restrictions.
The recently-launched Ishida IX-GN-2443-S X-ray inspection system provides enhanced detection for a range of foreign bodies including steel, aluminium, tin, glass, stone, hard rubber, plastic, bones and shell at high speeds in both packed and bulk product. Ishida’s unique Genetic Algorithm (GA) technology enables the system to be optimised for greater sensitivity to specific contaminants and it can also provide a range of additional quality control functions, such as product grading by length, product deformation, missing items, voids in product and weight estimation.
