Skincare brand Dermalogica has adopted Aptar Group’s auto-loading dosing dropper – a packaging design that targets precise dispensing, clean use and minimal product loss.

Intended for skincare and dermocosmetic brands, the NeoDropper Autoload dropper packaging features a twist-and-push dispensing mechanism and auto-loading dropper cap. The applicator is automatically loaded with a consistent dose after each use.

The short applicator design is set to improve hygiene and dosage control while preventing breakage, while the dip tube inside the bottle seeks to help consumers use the formula to the last drop and minimize formula waste.

This format is set to align with growing consumer demand for protection and dosing accuracy in dermatological products.

“We are advancing dropper and dosing packaging innovation to address evolving market needs and shape the future of precision dispensing for forward-thinking skincare brands,” said Xavier Joseph, vice president, Global Marketing and Innovation, Aptar Beauty.

Now NeoDropper Autoload is being used to package Dermalogica’s FutureCode Booster skincare product. Dermalogica and Aptar are long-term collaborators, highlighting their ‘shared ambition’ to improve product performance and consumer experience through packaging innovation.

“FutureCode Booster has been positively received by consumers, particularly for its dispensing performance, ease of use, and overall user experience,” added Manuela DeForge, packaging engineer manager at Dermalogica. “Feedback highlights the value of delivering a consistent dose in a controlled and hygienic manner, demonstrating how thoughtful packaging design can enhance both product performance and everyday usability.”

Back in 2022, Dermalogica was the first prestige skincare brand to use Aptar’s recyclable, mono-PE dispensing pump, which was nominated for and won a Sustainability Award in the E-Commerce category.

Since then, UKPACK has revealed a recyclable ‘squeezed dropper’ for skincare oils and serums. Designed for precise, one-handed product application, the dropper is compatible with up to 50% PCR.

Aptar Closures has also revealed a new range of inverted lidless dispensing closures for the beauty and personal care markets. These are expected to negate the need for separate lids and offer a ready-to-dispense solution that reduces unwanted product waste.
