Aptar Beauty has partnered with L’Occitane En Provence to develop fully custom refillable dispensing pumps for its re-branded hand care packaging, said to deliver an optimized, controlled dose.
The refreshed packaging design is inspired by the apothecary jar, marking a new visual identity for L’Occitane En Provence’s hand soap, hand wash and hand lotion products. The 350ml and 500ml bottles are available in both glass and plastic and have been made refillable to extend the product life cycles.
Aptar Beauty says it developed a custom solution based on its Satine cosmetic pump with a 24/410 screw-on neck finish, designed for ‘generous dosages’. The pump’s oversized collar and large actuator were specifically created to match the wider dimensions of the packaging.
Lacquered in a glossy black finish, the new pump ensures visual consistency with the rest of range. The pump is moulded and decorated at Aptar Beauty’s custom flagship facility in Oyonnax and assembled at its Le Neubourg site.
Earlier this year, Amcor launched a new shaped standard bottle for the beauty and personal care sector, available with a low minimum order quantity (MOQ) and a range of customizable options. The Mocha bottle can be customized with a variety of colours and finishes and has a large decoration area for individualized branding.
Last month skincare brand Dermalogica has adopted Aptar’s auto-loading dosing dropper – a packaging design that targets precise dispensing, clean use and minimal product loss. The short applicator design is set to improve hygiene and dosage control while preventing breakage, while the dip tube inside the bottle seeks to help minimize formula waste.
