United Caps is introducing its new 27 H-PAK closure at interpack 2026, designed to integrate into established filling lines and offer flexibility in carton packaging applications.
The company says the focus for the new closure is on compatibility and ease of integration, aiming to help manufacturers maintain efficiency and gain more flexibility in how they develop and source their packaging solutions. The 27 H-PAK’s opening system has an angle of up to 150 degrees and a stable hinge design, seeking to deliver consistent performance on the production line and in everyday use.
The closure works with both standard and aluminium-free carton complexes. United Caps adds that the 27 H-PAK is being featured at the company’s interpack stand alongside the United Caps Better Lab, an interactive space where visitors can pre-book sessions with United Caps experts to explore packaging challenges and solution approaches in a practical, application-focused setting.
“In many carton packaging environments, manufacturers have had to work within a very limited set of closure options,” said Benoît Henckes, CEO of United Caps. “With 27 H-PAK, we are introducing a new level of flexibility that allows customers to move forward without having to rethink their entire production setup. That balance between continuity and progress is becoming increasingly important across the industry.”
In other news, Amcor has introduced a new 55 mm closure targeting applications such as mayonnaise, ketchup and sweet sauces, said to be a ‘lightweighted upgrade’ compared to previous versions. Amcor adds that the mono-material cap is available in a variety of orifice sizes and circular valves and is ‘recyclable-ready’ with PET, HDPE and PP bottles where the appropriate recycling infrastructure is in place.
Last month Colorcon revealed OneLock, its all-in-one closure system for moisture-sensitive oral dosage products featuring a built-in desiccant and child-resistant component for protection and simplicity. Its anticipated to extend the shelf life and efficacy of solid, moisture-sensitive oral dosage forms throughout their life cycle.
