
FlexLink has launched RC20: a compact, standardized collaborative palletizing cell designed to handle heavier cases and high-throughput applications in food, pharmaceuticals, and more.
RC20 is designed for end-of-life applications in food, FMCG, pharmaceuticals, and other industries. Reportedly, it reaches payloads up to 17kg, which is expected to increase the range of collaborative palletizing options while maintaining high operational efficiency.
The cell offers a maximum pallet height of 2.4 meters, with a throughput of up to six boxes per minute or twelve with double pick. FlexLink clarifies that throughput and achievable pallet height may differ between case specifications, pallet sizes and palletizing patterns.
RC20’s compact operational footprint is hoped to improve space efficiency by minimizing the area required for installation and operation, with its safety features making it suitable for facilities with limited floor space.
Unlike traditional scanners or fences, RC20’s safety architecture does not stop, slow or reset the machine when an operator passes by. It is also designed to preserve the palletizer’s flexibility and mobility using the FANUC CRX20 collaborative robotic arm.
FlexLink’s Robot Config software is also set to configure pallet patterns in minutes, validating them through a background simulation of the palletizing process. This is expected to negate the need for dry runs, save setup time, and support smooth operation without requiring robotic expertise – all while ensuring efficient palletizing across changing SKUs.
The cell is CE-certified and UL-compliant. It is reportedly based on a standardized and proven product platform that supports consistent performance and, if required, late-stage customization.

“Its unique safety concept helps avoid the larger operational footprint and unnecessary stoppages often associated with safety scanners or fencing, giving manufacturers a standardized solution to automate end-of-line operations in a safe, flexible, and scalable way.”
FlexLink will present RC20 at Coesia’s booth (S-2501) at PACK EXPO International on 18 – 21 October 2026.
In other news, E2Pack has unveiled its new EASYROCK automatic pallet unwrapping system. Built to handle ‘dozens’ of pallets per hour, the machine is expected to improve safety, increase consistency and support smoother integration into existing lines.
Sitma has also introduced its FlatPack automated paper-based wrapping solution for furniture panels. It is designed to replace plastic packaging in industrial production environments, instead delivering ‘compact and secure’ packs that reduce material usage through fit-to-size, continuous-motion primary packaging.
