E2Pack EASYROCK

E2Pack has unveiled its new EASYROCK automatic pallet unwrapping system, said to improve safety, increase consistency and support smoother integration into existing lines.

Engineered for demanding production environments, E2Pack says the new system is built to handle ‘dozens of pallets per hour’ while maintaining stable, continuous operation. Its patented uptime-focused solutions are designed to minimize interruptions and support continuity in high-throughput manufacturing settings.

The system automatically detects pallet dimensions, load configuration, and workability, adapting the unwrapping cycle to different formats and load conditions. The company says EASYROCK is suitable for a range of applications including glass containers, cans, boxes, and other packaged formats.

Its cutting system aims to preserve product integrity while its compact footprint and high accessibility simplify cleaning and reset operations. It also seeks to improve operator safety and features a motorized rotating blade with no thermal stress on the load.

E2Pack will be displaying EASYROCK in Hall 13, Stand A18 at interpack 2026, taking place in Düsseldorf, Germany from the 7th-13th May.

In related news, the European Commission has officially exempted businesses that use pallet wrappings and straps from the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation’s 100% reuse requirements, citing ‘disproportionate’ costs and supply chain impacts. From 1st January 2030, the Regulation will set a 40% reuse quota for all transport packaging delivered cross-border between economic operators, including pallets, drums and canisters.

Tosca and Cabka have recently revealed a new circular pallet made from 100% recycled plastic, designed to be safe to use, easy to clean, and compatible with automated pallet handling equipment across Europe. Made from a ‘unique blend’ of recycled plastic, it features integrated drainage holes to prevent water build-up and avoid moisture retention.
