Packsize is partnering with Sitma and Paccurate to implement automated bagging systems and right-sizing software into its global operations, aiming to complete its packaging portfolio and become a ‘one-stop shop’ for every requirement.

Through these strategic partnerships, Packsize plans to utilize Sitma’s automated bagging systems, including the e-Wrap, Fast Pack, and Fast Pack Plus; these machines right-size packaging made from heat-sealable or kraft paper in a bid to replace traditional polybags in various applications and cut down on packaging waste.

Meanwhile, Paccurate has become Packsize’s exclusive cartonization partner. By implementing Paccurate’s ‘cutting-edge’ software and intelligent algorithms across all its solutions, Packsize plans to right-size boxes and envelopes to fit the necessary quantity and dimensions for every delivery, thus optimizing efficiency and minimizing packaging waste.

Packsize has also expanded on a previous collaboration and become Paccurate’s exclusive automated packaging reseller.

“Our partnership with Sitma represents the next step in Packsize’s mission to bring sustainable, eco-friendly packaging solutions to a greater number of application needs,” said Brian Reinhart, CRO at Packsize. “By providing paper bagging and cardboard enveloping, we are able to reduce the damaging carbon footprint of plastic options.

“With Sitma’s innovative automated bagging machines, we can now offer a truly comprehensive range of packaging solutions, enabling us to serve more markets and address a broader variety of customer challenges.

“Paccurate’s software is the gold standard for cartonization. By fully integrating Paccurate into our packaging ecosystem, we can help customers further reduce shipping costs and waste by maximizing space utilization, while also improving product protection in transit.”

“Sitma is very excited to enter into partnership with Packsize,” continued Francis McMahon, president of Sitma Americas. “We share a core commitment to right-sized sustainable packaging, and we look forward to bringing Sitma’s automated solutions to Packsize’s ecommerce customers looking to augment their SMART boxing solutions with a complementary sustainable mailer system.”

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to further strengthen Paccurate’s partnership with Packsize,” added James Malley, co-founder and CEO of Paccurate. “Our companies share a perfectly aligned mission, and after over a year of successful collaboration on major projects, it’s clear the partnership delivers exceptional value.

“When it comes to right-sizing, you really can’t get much better than best-in-class hardware and software working in tandem.”

Earlier this year, Packsize launched its X6 automated ‘right-sized’ packaging system. This technology sought to create up to 1,500 flat-bottom boxes from corrugated Z-fold every hour and comply with the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation, among other legislative developments.

In other news, Amazon intends to reduce its packaging waste by deploying automated machinery across its European operations, including made-to-measure box and paper bag technology and a labelling device suitable for products shipped in their own packaging.
