EndFlex has launched its Boxxer Wrap Around Case Packer, apparently designed to provide ‘unparalleled efficiency and versatility’ and use less corrugate than pre-formed cases.
A wrap-around case packer machine groups products together and then bundles them in a corrugated case, the company explains, adding that the process begins with a flat cardboard blank which the machine folds around the products and glues the edges of, to ensure the products are securely packed and ready for shipment.
EndFlex states that wrap around case packers can provide a ‘high level of protection and stability’ for packaged products. The company says its new packer has increased security, protection and stability, with the wrap around method ensuring products are stable and less likely to shift or get damaged. The packer is reportedly designed to handle high volumes of products, making them suitable for industries with large-scale packaging needs.
In February, a fully automated case de-stacker solution was announced by JBT’s Proseal, aiming for maximized efficiency, speed, and user safety in case packing equipment. The CDS Case De-Stacker is designed to automatically de-stack cases and deliver them to a case packing machine to relieve operators of the demand for repetitive manual handling and loading.
Paxiom Group company ValTara revealed its PKR-Dual Delta Robot pick-and-place case packing cell in August, designed for efficient, low-cost packing processes for a range of packages. The system can reportedly handle packaging products including bags, pouches, cartons and trays.
