Aptar Closures

Aptar Closures has revealed its Harmonic liner-less flip-top sport cap for hot-fill beverage applications, aiming to help beverage brands improve consumer experience and reinforce product security with a customizable design.

The company says the new cap features an ergonomic spout, a 33mm neck finish and a secure re-closure feature, said to provide a ‘comfortable’ drinking experience and help prevent accidental opening during transport and daily use. It also has a visible tamper-evident system and is compatible with high-speed filling lines.

Aptar adds that Harmonic’s two-piece design enables multiple colour combinations and brand-specific customization to help beverage brands stand out on shelf.

“Aptar Closures has built its reputation on designing closure innovations that beverage brands can rely on at scale,” said Emma Bersier, global market leader for Beverage at Aptar Closures. “Harmonic embodies that commitment by elevating the consumer experience, strengthening product safety, and creating new opportunities for premium product positioning.”

In April, the company announced a new range of inverted lidless dispensing closures for the beauty and personal care markets, aiming to help eliminate the need for separate lids and provide a ready-to-dispense packaging format that reduces unwanted product waste. The inverted lidless series aims to give consumers ease of use and accessibility, allowing shampoos or conditioners to be dispensed easily, even with wet hands.

Last month Blue Ocean Closures unveiled its Paper-Plug range of integrated fibre-based opening and dispensing concepts, combining an internal fibre screw closure with a direct interface to carton and corrugated board structures. Potential application areas include dry and frozen foods and ingredients, cleaning products, refill and reuse systems and cartons and hybrid board formats.
